There is no make called Service listed in my copy of the Georgano encyclopedia, but there is one listed in my D.B. Wise book. That book says it was made 1901-1906 in Britain and was "probably a French import" (? ? ?).

It would be impossible even today to compile a complete and accurate automobile index. Considering how much more accessible information has become since these books were first published, I credit the authors for what they were able to accomplish.
