Another one that I'm surprised hasn't appeared before!
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

But no rookie material!

It's the 'Bloody Mary', JAP engined Bolster Special built by John Vary Bolster & Richard Bolster of Meopham (Kent (GB)) in 1929.

Kind regards,

Very well solvedĀ  ;)

Here's another picture, count the engines!

Er, no!
BM is the twin-engined car in the original photo and the 4-engined car is a different Bolster special.
(ref. "Specials" by John Bolster, 1949/1952)
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

This is the original Bloody Mary.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

Croydon Speed Trials 1937, I think and slightly later than the above . . .

If any of you are coming to the Goodwood Festival of Speed this weekend, Bloody Mary is here, displayed in the Brooklands Paddock, and driving up the Goodwood hillclimb twice per day.  Photos to follow, and maybe I will see you there  :)
A car is for life, not just for Christmas.
