Was the coachbuilder located North of Rome ?

als15

Yes. As 99% of the Italian coachbuilders.  ;D

oko94

If this coachbuilder had belonged to the 1% it would have been a great help !

Was this coachbuilder located West of Milano ?

als15

No, East of Milan.

oko94

North of Bologna ?

als15

North. But not too much  ;).

oko94

Was this coachbuilder located within 30 km of Modena ?

Paul Jaray

From Ferrara, like Andreoli?

als15

Not Ferrara. Go south-west. You can't miss that city  ;).

Was this coachbuilder located within 30 km of Modena ?

Much much less than 30 Km.

Paul Jaray

Hmmm...I think I know the city now.
Did this coachbuilder dress any Fiat (not busses or commercial vehicles)?

als15

Yes, some. As 99% of the Italian coachbulders.  ;)

I was looking for Coachbuilders from Sant'Agata Bolognese!
Allegretti?

als15

From Modena.
Not Orlandi and not Allegretti.

als15

Not Ansaloni nor Torricelli.

Paul Jaray

Torricelli?
I edited my reply too quickly...

 :applause:

Yes, an early body by Campana. But which car is it?

Locked for Paul Jaray.

Paul Jaray

Waiting for a good encyclopedia about the subject (...), I can only have a look at the few sources I have about.
In a long article about Carrozzeria Campana from 'Auto d'Epoca', there are the same info that can be found from your Fuoriserie's books...it seems that the first cars were a Fiat-powered Sport for Sighinolfi and a couple of sports with a Giannini and a BMW engine.
Chassis was built by a mr. Giovanardi. A couple of articles from Ruoteclassiche don't add much. Onorio and Erasmo Campana started in '47 after a long period working for Bacchelli & Bertolini.
Puzzle car seems to be pre-47, was it built for them?

als15

You are right. The car is indeed pre-war and was made by Onorio Campana but when he was working at Bacchelli & Bertolini.

Still locked for the name of the car (actually, the name of the maker of the car, as I don't think it has a model denomination itslef).
