did the builder use parts from well known brands or his own original design?

This car was a design by Mr. Baigniol collaborating in the mechanical part with M.Bodiou. It could also be considered as the last ARDEX since Mr. Baignol previously acquired that brand. By his side Mr. Bodiou made latter his own microcar the YBG

 YBG stands for Yves Bodiou Garage.
The car is also mentioned in Wendax 003 puzzle (topic 15276.0) but looks very different there.

As a clarification of the relationship between ARDEX, Mr. Baignol and YBG I show the scanner of an explanation given on February 1, 2010 by the same Mr. Bodiou creator of the YBG. The original is in French and I summarize it in English:
"In 1968 I worked with Mr. Tamine to finish two ARDEX cars, because he was sick and could not work, he was bedridden and died shortly after.
At that time I was installed in Nanterre next to the future A86 motorway. Together with his companion we moved the workshop to the center of the town. The Ardex brand was bought by Mr. Baigniol.
We started the construction of a microcar with a polyester body similar to 204. Then Mr. Baigniol installed a kart track in La Boule but the business failed and I was fired and therefore I had to dedicate myself to my own work ..."
