This should be an easy one
One point for the make and what the car was based on

woodinsight

Soon to be promoted so any guesses would be welcome

woodinsight

Okay - I'm sure the Experts will make short work of this one

Oswald

The very cool Lawther GT
It's as much fun to scare as to be scared

woodinsight

Yes - you've got the correct car but I also need to know which car it was based on as per the original question.
Locked for you until your next reply.

Oswald

Sorry.
It uses a 1000cc Mini engine and Imp driveshafts. Most of the suspension is Imp sourced too.
It's as much fun to scare as to be scared

woodinsight

Very good.
One more point for you!

barrett

Lovely, does anyone have any more pics of this, or information on it's fate? This is the only picture I have ever seen and seems to be the only image used when this car is mentioned

woodinsight

I have some more images that I will post soon.
I believe the car was sold to Canada several years ago.

woodinsight

Two more images -

when the car was new
and when it was offered for sale a few years ago

woodinsight

the image above  is when the car was on offer a few years ago.
the one below is the only other one I have seen when the car was new.

barrett

Hey, I guess I have seen those other pictures before! was this in Classic & Sportscar when it was sold? I seem to remember seeing the images in print rather than online.

Anyway, a very pretty little car and i'd be interested to see what it looks like after restoration

woodinsight

The colour one appeared in Classic & Sportcar when it was on the market.
The black & white one appeared in print somewhere  - can't pinpoint it at the moment.
I hope the car will appear in fully restored condition again in due course.
I tried to buy it at the time but it had already been sold to Canada if I recall.

woodinsight

Found one more small poor quality photo of the car when it was for sale in 2004.

Since all the images seem to have disappeared from the whole topic here's another one:
