Back to car identification.
Make and coachbuilder for a point.
There may be an extra point if you can name the man at the wheel.

Well to me it has the look of a late 1930s body by the Carlton Carriage Co.
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

It is a British coachbuilder, 1930s but not by Carlton...

Famous coachbuilder or obscure?
Not that famous but not that obscure either.......
The coachbuilder ceased business in 1939.

João

Cockshoot SS with Joseph Cockshoot?

woodinsight

Not Cockshoot or Crosby & Dunn

1938 Maltby SS DHC ?
That's the car!

There's still another point available for identifying the man behind the wheel.....

João

Francis Redfern?
Not Francis Redfern.
The man behind the wheel was very well known for his voice (not a singer)

Allan L

Hard to know as I have no visual memory of most of the well-known voices I know!
Could it be Valentine Dyall?
