I think it's time for another Bus Puzzle!
This time it won't be quite so big though, as they can be too difficult to administer.
Once again there are various rules which must be followed:

1) 1 point for make/model/year - as much as is known, and 1 point for operator/where operated - if known.
2) Maximum 4 points per puzzler for starters 6 points per puzzler, unless I give special dispensation.  This avoids any one individual identifying everything.
3) Points will be awarded as we go along according to the information given; there can be 1, 2 or even 3 points per bus.
4) I don't necessarily know as must as the puzzler, so I may ask for links to check out the answers.
5) Do I need to say that Google Search by Image MAY NOT BE USED to find the answers!

Happy puzzling!

Well, there don't seem to be any closet bus enthusiasts lurking amongst the Rookies so let's move this one up a notch..

1. is a Safeway Six-Wheel coach, model 66 from 1926?

9. is a Safeway Six-Wheel coach with St Louis Car Co. coachwork. I think it the model 66 from 1925? I think it was operated by Kansas City Railways.

9. Yes, that's right.  The fact that it was bodied by St Louis Car Co almost certainly identifies it as one of the fleet of 66s delivered to Kansas City Railways in 1925.  2 points for that!

1. Correct bus, yes.  1 point for that, but another if you can tell me who operated this particular bus and where?

This is a bit of guess work, but - the Northern Ohio Power & Light Co., and it was operated in Akron?

It did operate a service from South Akron to somewhere - but it wasn't Northern Ohio Power's!
Try again!

You edited your reply just as I hit the "Quote" button and it took me a few seconds to realise why I'd said "No"!
Yes, it was operated by the Firestone Rubber Co for its workers, between S. Akron and Cuyahoga Falls.
So that's another point and you done for the moment..  Let's see what others come up with.

Yes, it's a prototype so that's all there is to say about this bus.
1 point for you.

Not yet, as you've had the maximum 4 points as stipulated in the rules.
When I move it up I'll see what response I get, but there will be some Pro's who are ready with some answers so I'll have to wait until they've posted and things have tailed off a bit before I increase the number of points each puzzler may get.
It will be moving up to the Pro's within a few days at most.

Carnut

Time to give the Pro's a go.
Please do specially note the rules, in which there is no change as yet.
Will see what the Pro's make of it before decided if any amendments are necessary.

Exactly right for both, yes.  But #3 also has a nick-name which I really want before this one can be considered solved.  Since you've given me the make, the bodybuilder and the route on which it operates you already deserve 2 pts for that, but I'll stretch the point and give you another point for its nickname if you can come up with it (it's locked for your reply).

#17 also earns 2 points, one for the make and year and another for where it was operated.  So that's 4 pts so far but the chance of a 5th exceptionally.

You're looking for slightly more points than you're entitled to but I will stretch it slightly to 6 for the Pro's now:
1 point for #4 - all correct.
2 points for #20 - correct on both counts, but where does it operate?  Locked for your reply.
2 points for #22 - all correct.

Yes, I really enjoy putting these together!

#5: 2 points for correct make, date and operator.
#11: 2 points for correct make, date and bodybuilder (which I didn't know!)

That's your 4 points for the moment, although it does look like I'll have to stretch it to 6 for everyone (incl Craig Gillingham!) as I have already stretched it for both Wendax and Joao and must keep it fair.
However, #2 is wrong on both counts so you still have 2 points to go!

I see this takes you past 500 points!  Fantastic!  :applause: :applause:

This leaves the opportunity for another point.
#21 Yutong Citymaster ZK6116HGS from 2011. I know where it is operated, but I keep quiet.

Sorry for stretching the limit. I thought it was just worth 4 points. Thanks!

João

Thanks.
