Is 30017 a De La Vergne? If not I need another clue.
Not that.
An american vehicle using a KANE-PENNINGTON engine. Now for the 3rd clue I have to help a bit more...the builder (there was no company) was from Charlevoix, Michigan.

2nd less useless clue: type of car is obvious, engine is obvious, I don't have a defined time range...the place will give it away..it starts with A!

Antique and Collectible Autos Inc. 35 Dole Street Buffalo NY?
Not that. :-\

Blimey! Another clue, please.

8387 is not a small number but yet it starts with 'A'. Ok that's not a clue...it's from South Carolina but probably that is useless too.
The Company is named after it's builders, not a long name, BTW.

100048: Built in New York city.

100048 : 1895 2HP "Motor Road Wagon" "New York City" : I can't find anything. Am I going in the wrong direction ?

I'm getting nowhere. Cobra Kit Car companies are virtually uncountable. Are there any more clues on offer?

So far you are pretty ..stable  ;D
This makers, starts with 'W' and it's the union of 2 surnames Wxxxx & Lxxxxxx. It's not a well documented maker and useful clues may be hard here.

You are right, but fortunately this one is not that known...it means that if you find a Cobra manufactuer, starting with A (near the very bottom of the A-named makers, but not Az), named after its builder, it's probably your guy.
Just to give you an idea, this maker is reported in 3 books of mine, ERA, for example, in 6.
I can say that it rymes with something He sure was looking for! (more or less)

Probably not so useless...it's British.
22222: Grand Prix 1911
27500: MONACO 500 COUPE 1967

22222 is quite hard, as there were three Grand Prix cars in 1911 having names beginning with C. I have atry at Cottin-Desgouttes.
25886 must be a Dellow then.
27500 is a Dodge.
